Lakota-embroidered Indian designs are skillfully done by artists on cotton canvas baseball caps. Each cap has a soft genuine leather strap with an adjustable brass buckle closure & a sweat band inside the front. One size fits most.
Available in four Native American designs: Medicine Wheel which is available on either grey or black canvas: the colorful Dreamcatcher is on tan: Buffalo Spirit is beautifully done with a sunset background of embroidery on black and the wolf is set on grey canvas. All handcrafted!
The buffalo, to Native Americans, is a life-giving gift of the Great Spirit and is known for the ability to renew those who receive his gifts. "Buffalo Spirit" is a excellent example of the skilled craftsmanship of the Lakota people.
The wolf has been gifted with playfulness, survival and a strong family bond. A good standard for the "two-leggeds" to live by.
The Medicine Wheel is a very sacred symbol to all Indian tribes. For the Lakota people, the circle represents the Great Spirit, who has no beginning & no end. They see the world as having four directions & for each direction there is a color associated with it. These four colors are yellow, white, black and red which ironically are also the four colors of the people of the world.
And, of course, the dreamcatcher which is a fairly new legend. The webbing holds onto all the bad dreams and only the good ones can slip through the tiny hole in the center. The bad dreams are burned away with the morning sun, never to come back again.
