The Native American artists, who sign each piece, combine their natural artistic talents with the inspiration of their culture and the breathtaking beauty of the high plateau country of the West.  All pieces are painted & etched by NAVAJO or UTE craftsmen who have molded & fired the clay previously.  The "Navajo Sand" pottery has a fine sandstone finish with the NAVAJO BEAR  FETISH on one side of each piece and the BEAR  PAW on the other in soft desert colors.   Many Indian tribes used animal fetishes in their art.  The Bear Fetish offers strength in the face of adversity during the transitions & changes of life.
