Cherokee Bowie Knife
[cc4926-002]
$59.99

One of the earliest Bowies, this popular knife style appears in some of the premier collections, as well as in early paintings, including that of the famous Cherokee chief, "Tah-Chee", where it is prominently shown.  The heavy, 8 1/2" blade is a full 3/16" thick with nice Rosewood slab grips featuring a German silver inlaid plate, pins and wrapped pommel.  Originally produced by Gravely & Weeks in Sheffield, England in this massive, 14 1/4" overall length.  The ornately fringed leather scabbard is patterned after the original ca. 1830.
