"Celebrate the Horse" is from Pendleton's Legendary Collection picturing a brave warrior astride a swift steed thundering across the Plain accompanied by wild mustangs, perhaps yet to be tamed.  This 82% pure virgin wool / 18%cotton woven blanket is based on a design from the Blackfoot tribe, expert horsemen who called the animal "elk-horse" for its great size.  The arrival of the horse, brought to the Americas by 16th century Spanish Conquistadors, changed forever the culture of Native Americans.  Pendleton's "Celebrate the Horse" blanket has attached an ultrasuede patch with the story behind this design.  Bold Southwestern colors as shown which are depicted on the reverse side in the negative.  Beautiful, soft & warm!  Makes a striking statement as a wall hanging too.  Made in the USA!
